1. Choosing Items
  • How do I choose items I wish to buy?
    You first need to visit the website of retailers and merchants to look for items you want. Then come back to www.shoppnship.com to complete a simple order request. Shopp’n’Ship will order and pay for the items and send them to you in Ghana.
  • Which merchants can I buy from? 
    Currently, Shopp‘n’Ship enables you to buy items you want from any UK or US merchant. In the future, we may extend the service to merchants in other parts of the world.
  • How can I find the merchants websites?
    Shopp’n’Ship has links to the websites of many reputable merchants in both the UK and the US. However, if you cannot find the merchant you want, use other means such as searching in Google to find the website address of the merchant you want.
  • Can I buy from any UK merchant? 
    Yes, you can buy items from any UK merchant of your choice. However, it is advised that you only buy from well-known and reputable merchants to ensure you receive the expected quality of goods and to avoid any potential disappointment. The UK merchant you select is entirely your choice.
  • Can I buy from any US merchant?
    Yes, you can buy items from any US merchant of your choice. However, it is advised that you only buy from well-known and reputable merchants to ensure you receive the expected quality of goods and to avoid any potential disappointment. The US merchant you select is entirely your choice.
  • What type of goods can I buy through Shopp’n’Ship?
    We promote the following selected product lines, which we feel would most appeal to our target customers. However, we are not limited to these and will continually extend the product range to match the desire of our customers:

2. Placing an order with Shopp'n'Ship
  • How do I place an order with Shopp‘n’Ship? 
    After you have seen items you want on a merchant site, come back to www.shoppnship.com and click the button labelled ‘’Click here to proceed with your request’’. You will find a simple ordering form with clear instructions to help you complete an order request. Then leave the rest to us. Shopp‘n’Ship will buy your items and deliver them safely to you in Ghana.
  • When will my items be bought after placing my order? 
    Shopp‘n’Ship will buy your items immediately after confirmation that you have paid the order amount. Customers are advised to use BuzzPaid to make their payments because it offers you a safe and effective way to make instant payment to ensure that you order is not delayed.
  • How will I know my items have been bought? 
    As soon as your payment is confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation of the payment. Your order will subsequently be placed immediately.
  • What happens if my items go out of stock? 
    Shopp‘n’Ship will contact you by email to let you know the items that are out-of-stock. You have the option to email back with details of replacement items that are in stock. Shopp‘n’Ship will order the replacements immediately for you.
  • Can my order be cancelled? 
    Yes, you can request your order to be cancelled after placing it and before you have paid for it. You can let us know either by email or by phone. You will then receive an email from Shopp‘n’Ship to confirm your order has been cancelled. Secondly, Shopp‘n’Ship will cancel your order if payment hasn’t been made within 5 days of your order. This is necessary because items often go out of stock if items are not bought quickly.
3. Paying for your orders
  • How will I know how much I need to pay for my orders? 
    The total amount in GHc (Cedis) you need to pay for your order in will be calculated and displayed for you to confirm during the ordering.
  • When do I pay for my order? 
    You can pay for your order instantly using BuzzPaid at the time of placing the order. Otherwise you can also pay within 5 days after you have placed the order. However, be aware that paying later would delay processing your order and items may go out of stock.
  • How do I pay for my order? 
    You can pay instantly with BuzzPaid during the ordering. Alternatively you can go to any branch of Fidelity Bank and pay into Shopp‘n’Ship account the total order amount. You will be given the Shopp‘n’Ship account details when placing your order. We recommend that you sign up to use BuzzPaid for all your online orders. It is safe, simple and a highly convenient way of making payments to all merchants that use BuzzPaid.

Can I get a refund after my order is bought? 
Yes, you can get a refund but only if Shopp‘n’Ship mistakenly buys you a different item than you specified.

4. Sending your orders to you in Ghana
  • By Sea Freight? 
    Yes, you can request your bulky items to be sent effectively by sea freight. We only sea freight orders from the UK to Ghana. Please note: WE CURRENTLY DO NOT SEA-FREIGHT ITEMS BOUGHT FROM THE US. 

    We consolidate multiple customer orders into a standard shipment box. You can order as many items as you wish and we’ll fit them into this standard box. 
    You only pay a total Shopp’n’Ship surcharge of 20% of the item cost – representing the total of our handling fees, cost of freight and clearance charges – for all orders by sea freight fitting our standard box. 
    However, do note that larger items that do not fit the standard will need to be sea-freighted and charged separately. Contact us to agree the separate charges for such items. Typical door-to-door sea freight charges for sample, non-standard bulky items sent from the UK to Ghana are as follows (payable in Cedis at the current prevailing exchange rate):

    Sea freight normally takes around 5 weeks from dispatch in the UK to get to Ghana.

  • By Air freight?
    Yes, we send customer orders from both the UK and US, to Ghana by air freight.
    Air freight services are suited to your smaller sized and lighter items as air freighting is faster, but otherwise very expensive for bulkier or heavy items.
    Items are placed immediately by Shopp’n’Ship after customer payment is confirmed. UK merchant orders in stock normally take 3-5 days to be received. Customer orders Items are then consolidated and subsequently sent by air to Accra.
    Customer orders from the UK therefore take on average 2 weeks after payment confirmation to get to you in Ghana
  • How will I know my order have been sent? 
    As soon as your items are sent, you will receive a status update email confirming the dispatch.
  • How long will my orders from the UK take to reach me? 
    UK merchant orders in stock normally take 3-5 days to be received. Customer orders Items are then consolidated and subsequently sent by air to Accra. Customer orders from the UK therefore take on average 2 weeks after payment confirmation to get to you in Ghana.
  • How long will my orders from the US take to reach me? We use specialist forwarding companies: FedEx, UPS or USPS to first send your items from the US to us in the UK. We then consolidate and add the items to our Air Freight service from the UK to Accra. US items therefore take on average 3 to 4 weeks to get to you in Ghana after your payment confirmation.
5. Receiving your orders
  • How will I know my items are ready? 
    As soon as your items are shipped, you will receive an email confirming the status of your order as ‘Sent by Air’ or ‘Sent by Sea’.
  • How do I collect my items? 
    Collection points in Ghana are published on our website. As soon as your items are ready for you in Ghana, you will receive an email confirming the status of your order as ‘Ready for Collection’.
  • What happens if I fail to collect my items? 
    Please endeavour to collect your items from our collection points within 48 hours of being notified. Charges may apply for late collection – see our Terms & Conditions.
  • Can my items be delivered to me at my home or office?
    Currently items are collected from our specified collection points. However, we are considering the option of door-to-door delivery of customer orders at a charge and will soon be putting this practice in place for your convenience.

uk/us based customers

1. Choosing Items
  • How do I choose items I wish to buy?
    Choose and select any of the Ghana-made products displayed on our website into your online cart/basket. Checkout and pay for your selected items. Shopp‘n’Ship has partnership arrangements with selected Ghana Merchants. We will secure your products and organise all the delivery logistics until the items get to you at your specified address.

  • Can I buy from Ghana Merchants with products not displayed on www.shoppnship.com?
    Currently, our website is structured to process only products displayed on the site from selected merchants. But should you particularly desire any Ghana products not displayed on our website, do contact us and we will do all we can to secure the products for you and arrange the payments involved.

  • Can I recommend other Ghana merchants with products that will be well suited to your online marketplace?
    Yes, you can. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any desired merchant recommendation and we would do all we can to sign them up, onto our platform.

2. Placing an order with Shopp‘n’Ship
  • How do I place an order with Shopp‘n’Ship?
    From our Home Page on shoppnship.com click the button with UK Flag for UK/US-Based customers labelled ‘Click here to go to the Ghana Marketplace’’.  You will then be taken to the pages displaying Ghana-made products. You can select items into your cart/basket as normal and follow the checkout steps when you are ready. Then leave the rest to us. Shopp‘n’Ship will organize your items and deliver them safely to your specified address.
     
  • When will my items be bought from the merchant after selecting and paying at the checkout?
    All parties concerned including Yourself, Shopp‘n’Ship and the Ghana Merchant will receive email confirmation immediately after you have successfully checked-out online and paid for your items. Shopp‘n’Ship will concurrently begin the process of obtaining the items from the merchant involved and the logistical arrangements necessary.
  • What happens if my items go out of stock?
    Shopp‘n’ship will liaise with the merchant concerned and notify you by email to let you know if items go out-of-stock, if you have already placed an order for the items concerned. In most cases, such incidents may simply demand just a little more time for the merchant to put the items back in stock. You have the option to email back with details of replacement items that are in stock; wait for the item to be put back into stock; or opt for a refund for the out-of-stock items.

  • Can my order be cancelled? 
    You can request your order to be cancelled after placing it and before it has been dispatched with our freight service providers. You can let us know either by email or by phone. You will then receive an email from Shopp‘n’Ship to confirm your order has been cancelled and discuss with you what options you wish to take up, including a refund if desired.  Please note: you will not be able to cancel your order if it has already been freighted/dispatched or posted to your address.
3. Paying for your orders
  • How will I know how much I need to pay for my orders?
    The total amount you need to pay for your order, including shipment will be calculated and displayed for you to confirm at the checkout step.

  • How do I pay for my order?
    a) You can pay securely online using your card.
    b) We do not store any card details used to make payments.
    c) All card payments are processed strictly through secure payment service providers such as Stripe and PayPal.
    d) You can also pay by Direct Bank Transfer. We will email you our Bank Details to be used for the transfer if you opt for ‘Direct Bank Transfer’ at the checkout step.
  • Can I get a refund for my order?
    Yes, you can get a refund under these circumstances:
    a) You can get a refund if you cancel your order before it has been shipped.
    b) You can get a refund if items already paid for go out-of-stock.
    c) In any other circumstances where a refund is justified, contact us with the specific details and we will do our utmost to assist you.
4. Sending your orders to you
  • How will I know my items have been sent?
    You will receive an email from Shopp‘n’Ship confirming and providing the shipment details the moment your items are sent.

  • How are my items sent?
    We send items using recognised freight services such as DHL, UPS etc. as well as The Post Office where necessary.

  • How long will my orders from Ghana take to reach me?
    Freight timelines are dictated by the freight-service providers (DHL, UPS etc., Post Office). These are usually within a few days to the UK and the US, as apposed to weeks.
